first one is basic face shape drawing (mouse friendly!!)
FACES
1. okay first set up your brush, just get a soft round one and set the opacity and flow thusly:
opacity: 10-15%
flow: 30%
the only colors we're going to be using are black and white, press the "D" key to bring these up
press x to switch between colors
start by just making a T shape with darker spots on the sides of the t's

the spots with are for the eyes, which are always darker than the surrounding area because they are sunken into the head
i suggest making the bottom of the T a bit darker than the rest
2. darken one side of the T with a few shrt strokes,
start filling out the rest of the face, be as messy as you like

make sure to keep the T shape darker than the rest of the face
3. take out the smudge tool, soft round brush with 50% strength
smooth the rest of the face
hit X to switch the main color from black to white
make lighter areas on top of the cheeks, over the eyes and the tip and shaft of the nose

tip+shaft... what else can that be...
4. go ahead and outline your nose in black with a smaller brush
(the "[" and "]" keys change your brush size)

5. smudge the black from the last step, and start to define the shape of the nose more
put a larger highlight on the tip of the nose

go ahead and smudge some for blending purposes
6. add a shadow underneath the nose, and reposition it on the face
HOW TO I DUZ THAT?@?@?@>>@!?!?!
take out the rectangle select tool and select the nose
ctrl+T for free transform
then right click and select "warp" from the drop down menu
drag gently to reshape the nose and get it where you want it

then smudge the edges where you had it selected, or you will get nasty straight lines
mayke teh eyes!?!?!
1. darken the place where you want the eyes to go

2. make a white oval that is relatively eye shaped

3. shade the top of the eye to be a darkish grey color
darken the rest of the eye too, but not as much

4. add the black part of the eye, doesn't matter how, and size isn't very important

i would suggest putting your retina closer to the nose and not in the middle of his eye
5. add some white in a half circle around his eye,
make the circle fade out under the shadow of his eyebrow

6. make two highlights
make sure they aren't on the upper half of the eye, that is shadowed by his eyebrow and there cant be a highlight in a shadow

also take a 1px black brush and add some veins in his eye, be gentle
now step back and say WTFZ?!?! DID I MAYK DHAT!?
i will finish the face tut later, i have school for now[/b]
