Seeing as more people are doing more writing and poetry(thanks to the other section ), I'm a making this contest. Basically you enter as either a poet or a judge, then all precipitants vote for a topic. then the poets write poems along that topic. whoever wins gets a cool custom signature button(like the OTW buttons, but mine are shinier) from me or other people who want to give art prizes.

the rules:

1. No porn or other things that are prohibited by the main forum rules.
2. I will only except 5 topics at a time. one topic suggestion per person.
3. The poems must fit into one of these categories on this page
4. Please don't drop out, I mean writing a poem isn't rocket science like animation is. Just open up your favorite word processor, and type along the topic lines.
5. You can't be a judge and a poet at the same time, that would be unfair.

May i Be a Judge ?

I have written very many Haikus before i started animating

Can i have an example of your work? And can you write a good poem in another format, because haiku's are fairly simple to make Need to know if you know your stuff and can accurately rate a poem. I myself make Haikus and and Limericks mainly, I do random stuff too but I'm fairly experienced. I had an Allpoetry account, but the people there are so embarrassing so I'm not going to recommended going there(emo's everywhere! AHHH!)

The cursed city

Please turn off any electronic gadgets like TV , radio , and others before reading this. Also , make the room dark and hold tight a kitchen knife.... incase of safety.

Chapter 1
The death archers

It was a dark and stormy dark . A young college man named bonny , was running in a park. outside his school . He was holding his backpack tight , tough , the park was all dark. nothing can be seen. No lights everywhere , nothing can be touched , except the wet and slippery peds road. After 2 minutes running , bonny stopped by a misteryous sound from a bushes at the end of the small pool , left from him. He peek a little , but nothing can be seen. It all dark , and cold. many fogs , and bats .... no car sounds , no motorcycle sounds .....

Bonny starting to chill , he remember his house is still far away from the park. he supposed to go home at 3 , but he was playing in the computer lab until 7 pm. He pull out his flashlight and pointing it at the pole. He saw a flashing shade jumping away from him. He dropped his flashlight. No-one know what the creature is looks like , except bonny. He just saw the face was all bloody and full of scarf. He then run , lefting his flashlight behind...

Around 10 minutes latter , he reached the skateboard area. There is 5 teenagers standing there , holding a skateboard. Bonny was very happy , there is 2 small park lighting around the area. He then walk to the teenagers for information about the way out. This is his first experience for going home through that park. Many of his friends told him that park was the fastest way to reach the town square. But that seems to be a bullshit.

Bonny said "escuse me" 3 times ....

But no reaction , after then , he relaised that the teenagers are living-deads. they're face was having no eyeballs , bloody cheecks full with scarf , and they're teeth was covered in strange fresh bloods. Bonny walks backwards , he wanna cry , but then he stepped on a dead body. He scream very loud. and he run away back to the park.....

An anti-limerick


There once was a guy who wrote haikus
And he decided to write one now
He took out his pen
And started writing
But he forgot this was a Limerick

im just making this off the top of my head:

The fear sets in,
Destroying young soldiers dreams,
As the blood of dead corpses
Flood down in streams,
Wanting to run,
Escaping the void,
As these young men,
Are ordered to be destroyed,

They say that war,
Is cruel and cold-blooded,
As the image of a soldier,
Is portraid as star studded,
But in reality,
That life is a lie,
As we watch all of our soldiers,
Fight untill they die,
When you notice these problems,
You will soon see,
There is no escaping,
This democracy.

anyways here it is,

The scars have been opened too far,
Drop,
My tear drop dives onto my open wound,
It burns in my heart and soul,
It sizzles as the saltey pain opens the cuts more,
In my heart,
Where love slowly kills me,
Where the waves are crashing on that one rock,
That rock that won't go away,
It messes up the flow,
Even though the water just slides around it,
It can't have it without messing up the flow,
It wasn't meant to be.
