just because socialist health care worked in places like canada and the UK doesnt mean it will work in the US. canada has been using socialist health care since the 50's. that's why it works so well. every part the US is so integrated into capitalism (including medicine) that any radical change like this one would end in disaster. I personaly think that socialist health care in the US would be a great thing. sad thing is, It wont ever happen in the US. right now, as we post, the youth of the USA are becoming more and more like the october revolutionist bloshvieks of the soviet union. if the russian revolution had happened with the same technology as we use today, the results would have been far different than true history. now, imagen if that revolution not only in present day, but in the most technologicly advanced place on the planet. imagen if the entire US middle class was completely wiped out. all that would remain would be the aristocrats and the working party. (which makes up 98% of the population.) this is all happening. the recesion may be over for the aristocrats, but for the workers, the true recession is just begining.
one's capacity for justice makes socialism possible. ones acceptance of injustice makes socialism necacary.

Their healthcare actually DIDN'T work. That's why they are switching to our method, and we are switching to theirs. From this I deduce that each method is mediocore and that each side thinks the other side has it better.
Seriously though, the congress is KEEPING the healthcare costs high
If we just allow interstate healthcare then prices would go down
It's fact. If you've taken business you'd know competition creates lower prices. If the governemnt got its way it would be, good for a while, then, when there is no more competition, we'd have to ration due to so many people having healthcare that is cheap, thus meaning rationing or doctor cuts or hospital closers or REALLY REALLY long lines.
UK and Canada got the less doctors and long lines AND rationing.
Anyway, right NOW we should be focused on ECONOMY and not health care. The democrats plans are much too costly at a time like this. Maybe later we can debate but there shouldn't be a debate until we are stable, people have jobs, and the international political climate cools down.

yeah, wodashians got the right point.
the main reason we dont have socialist healthcare is because congress wont just destroy all these huge healthcare buisnesses that took decades to build up.
public healthcare would be so much less benificial.
its kinda like the electic car:
you get rid of gas cars,
you get rid of gas.
which gets rid of oil,
which gets rid of millions and millions of americans jobs.

The electric car is an irony in itself. Uses coal to run. Jesus Christ.
Also, nuclear energy = BEST CHOICE, off topic but true, all others are not as efficient or proficient or beneficial
Anyways, what we have now SHOULD be good but is hindered by stupid rich men debating about things they most likely don't understand. Also, I KNOW they don't understand, because they haven't even read it [the bill]
EVEN THOUGH I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S IN IT I'M STILL PICKING IT
There are only 4 possible healthcare options in New York, in all of America there is over 100. Hmmmmmm, New Yorker's are getting screwed, how to fix???
idk.
Maybe let's open up the borders. The red states tend to have cheaper, better healthcare and less rationing.
Medicare has turned down the most people in America for healthcare BY FAR.
And yet "PRIVATE HEALTHCARE TURNS DOWN PEOPLES A LOT DURRRR" is one of their arguements
THe government is inefficient, anyone who wants them in charge should just realise that they are putting trust in a pece of shit that made the IRS, SS, and Medicare.

They haven't read it, I forces people to buy healthcare or pay a penalty. WTF?
and by 2013 all private health care is supposed to be gone, so says the bill.
It's 'cause people think like this "I think everything should be equal to every person! Then it's fair!"
That's not fair, to each man what he needs, is not fair. To each man what he earns is fair.

But
tentacles
and women there only like rich men, why do you think a large percentage of japanese men date DSs?
anyway, I personally believe in a almost free market.
A free market with slight restrictions, like no monopolies, and things to just keep everything in line.
No extremes.
Extremes are bad. America used to be a totally free market, it was bad. When we became slightly more restricted, boom, flourishing.
We need that.
