As a member of the staff I'd like to thank everyone who visits the site and has remained active on the forum over the years. 2011 wasn't exactly our best year, but 2012 seems like things could change. Let's be optimistic here, people!

How to handle a bot
I'm currently working on the bots here, but I'm gonna need some help. The way the whole banning bots thing works is that the Globals make lists of bots they've found and post them on a dedicated thread for a Universal mod to deal with. Unfortunately, I've kinda let the bot situation get way out of hand, so here goes.

If you see a bot, don't report it, just post a link to its profile here. I'll let the Universals know about this thread so they can use it to delete the bots, and I'll do my part and handle the posts they've left behind.

My big goal for this thread is to get a better handle on the bot problem when they become too numerous. When things calm down, I'll lock this thread.

Anyone interested in helping out the moderation?

How to handle a forums idiot
Have you or a loved one been affected by a forums idiot? Are they posting offensive images, such as gore or pornography? Are they posting "penis penis penis" in every thread just to get their post count up? Have they called you a "nigger" in the past 7 days? Hey. We had a bit of an incident today, but if you weren't aware, I can't really blame you. Anyway, we had a spam attack (to an arguable extent), courtesy of IPwnYou. Although all of his posts have been deleted by the site staff, if you're at all curious about the contents of said posts, I've made this comprehensive list.

-Blue Waffle
-Goatse
-Haphazard profanity

And that's it. Because of him, a staggering 12 threads in 3 forums had to be cleaned out, costing the staff about 15 minutes of their valuable time. On behalf of the staff, I'd like to thank all of you for following these rules and ignoring his spam, but, considering where he chose to post all of that crap, it's safe to assume you didn't even notice.

If the Unimods haven't banned him yet, it's bound to happen very soon, so let's all take this moment to remember IPwnAll for who he was. Also, feel free to remind each other of anything of note he actually did back in the heyday of Droidz.org. Thread will be locked at the end of the day.
